Fatherhood

By engaging fathers we hope to strengthen our community by increasing a father's awareness of his essential role in his family. All classes use evidence-based curriculum and are conducted by a trained facilitator. Currently, we hold Saturday "Dad Matters" classes at The Parenting Network and partner with the following agencies:

  • Wisconsin Department of Corrections,
  • United Community Center
  • Milwaukee County Day Reporting Center
  • Sojourner Family Peace Center

"Many of the issues that we face in our community such as violence, delinquency, and sexual aggression often are described as a crises of masculinity.

However, we believe that when given the opportunity, men will strive to succeed and will discover a natural ability to empower themselves. It is for this reason that we take a non-traditional approach to engaging men through support groups that are solution-focused, activity-based and practical.

We hope you will join us in our effort to support and improve the lives of men. Collaborations are welcomed.

If you have any questions about programs for men or fathers, contact Earnest Goggins Jr. or call the Parent Helpline.
